In our recent webinar, Nathy Ravez , an experienced facilitator and consultant, led an engaging session on the "Team Synergy Sprint". With over 20 years of project management and consulting experience, Nathy has worked with renowned global companies like L'Oréal and Bayer Healthcare, as well as institutions such as the European Commission. Her diverse background provided a rich foundation for the insightful discussion.

Nathy started by sharing her professional journey, highlighting her transition from project management to facilitation. She emphasized the importance of understanding team dynamics and leveraging individual strengths to create a synergistic team environment.

During the webinar, participants were introduced to the concept of team synergy, which Nathy defined as the dynamic collaboration where the combined efforts of a group achieve more than the sum of individual contributions. The session featured practical exercises using Miro templates, designed to help teams identify their strengths, align on goals, and improve communication.

Key exercises included

1. Manual of Me: This exercise helped participants understand each other's working styles and preferences, fostering better collaboration.

2. Team Strengths: Participants shared positive feedback about their teammates, highlighting individual strengths and contributions.

3. Skills Exchange: This activity encouraged team members to share their skills and learn from one another, promoting continuous development.

4. Team DNA: A wrap-up exercise that consolidated the team's goals, synergy factors, and strengths into a cohesive team identity, complete with a slogan and commitment to maintaining synergy.

Nathy's session was not only informative but also interactive, with participants actively engaging in breakout rooms to apply the concepts discussed. The use of Miro and other collaborative tools was highlighted as essential for facilitating effective remote teamwork.

🧡 Building the community

The community wasn't at all something evident in my journey. Beside my admiration for Anamaria Dorgo and other community catalyst, this whole thing... Just happen to me at some point in my life.

🧙‍♂️ Here in short, the chronicle on my community engagement.

✨ WHY & WHERE A COMMUNITY START ?

😓 To be honest, I've started this journey with a conviction : my experience as a product leader "deserve" a place to be shared. This egotistical attitude in mind, I've opened in September 2022 the R SPRINT project to the world on the Miroverse with some unexpected outcomes :

👉 Despite my product designer skills, sharing my system with other creators have more value than using it for myself.

👉 Leaving other creators speaks about it brings even more value than me explaining how sophisticate the system is.

At this stage, something bigger appear to me like an evidence. Many creators were searching for a place to share and go forward after the pandemic in a remote world : the remote community sparkle !

🫥 FROM 0 TO 1

Even if I had so much fun to try webinar series with Nina Pozderec and Jonathan White aside the Miro growing community, the QUARTERBACK TALKS never hit the ground running.

🤠 Too much specific or too much pioneer ? I knew that something with remote was growing inside me. Being more and more in contact with the world-wide community, I figured out that remote wasn't a matter of age, colours or beliefs. X, Y and even Z generations : the R GENERATION was born 🎉

🚀 SHOOTING THE STARS

This idea in hand, what to do, where to start ? Maybe getting back to the creators was my best decision, after hosting all my further events on Luma, obviously.

✅ While the first monthly creator webinars lift off, sharing free trainings enhance my capacity to produce content and captivate people.

✅ As much as our events NPS raised from 30+ to 60+, I get to the conclusion that building with passion, having fun and gathering great people could be convergent.

✅ Joining the Miro Community Events program thanks to Mary Findley, Shira Galler Re'em & Lauren Hill Booker was the ultimate boost that brings us in orbit.

Few hours after STRANGER Connexions launching meetup with Pedro Segreto and UNBOX LAB, we have reached the first thousands of followers. Not bad for a community start on February 1st of this year 💪

So, as Helena Brandist and Elena Avramenko 🇺🇦 might comment, it's not a matter of business, neither a model. When the community boogeyman comes after you, don't think too much... Just accelerate 🏎️
