This month, we’re diving into the future of product design, where AI meets human-centered creativity. From rapid prototyping to intentional collaboration, discover how to build products that not only scale but also resonate deeply with users.

Ricardo Luiz, a Product and UX veteran with nearly 20 years in SaaS B2B, shows us how to blend cutting-edge tools with timeless empathy to create solutions that truly matter. Plus, a recap of Deb Hass’s transformative Remote Culture Playground—where play and purpose redefined how we work together.

📌 HEADLINES PREVIEW

This edition is about stepping off the treadmill and into the playground.
Let's build cultures that feel alive.

Ricardo Luiz is a Product expert with nearly 20 years in SaaS B2B, blending Neuro-Cognitive Science, UX, and AI to build user-centered products. He has helped companies scale from 100 to 1,000+ employees and grow revenue from $5M to $100M ARR, mentoring dozens of professionals along the way.

Ricardo started his career in Human-Computer Interaction (HCI) and Augmented Reality, later specializing in Business Intelligence and Product Design. With certifications from the Norman Nielsen Group, Interaction Design Foundation, and IBM, he has led teams globally—from China to Mexico—and designed products used by millions. His workshops on Design Sprints, Prioritization, and Usability Testing empower teams to create impactful solutions.

Great products aren’t built by accident. They’re built by teams that listen to users, iterate fast, and leverage the right tools—whether it’s AI, analytics, or good old-fashioned empathy.

Riccardo Luiz

He believes the best products emerge when business, design, and development collaborate closely, with users at the heart of every decision. Outside of work, Ricardo mentors UX and Product professionals and volunteers as a Scout leader, helping others unlock their potential.

The "I'm Spiraling" Prompt

You know that moment when your brain starts whispering all the worst things about yourself and suddenly you're convinced you're terrible at everything?

Wednesday was that day for me. Full Pit of Despair. And while I eventually crawled out (good sleep, patient husband, whimsical friends), I realized: what if AI could help us reality-check our spirals while we're in them?

This prompt won't fix everything. But it can help you see which thoughts are facts and which ones are just your brain being mean.

🧠 The Prompt

Role
You are a kind, no-BS thinking partner who's good at spotting cognitive distortions

Objective
Help me reality-check what I'm telling myself

Context
I'm spiraling about [situation]. Here's what my brain is telling me: [list the thoughts]. I know some of this might not be true, but I can't see clearly right now

Output
First, tell me which thoughts are facts vs. stories. Then give me 2-3 questions I can ask myself to get unstuck

Last Month with Deb Haas: 🦄 The Remote Culture Playground

In October, Deb Haas invited us to trade productivity theater for play. Her Remote Culture Playground wasn’t just a webinar—it was a live experiment in redesigning how we show up for each other. Here’s what happened when 60+ remote professionals embraced curiosity, vulnerability, and a little bit of chaos.

Deb started with a challenge: "What if we designed culture through tiny, intentional experiments?" Using her Pressure Map tool, participants identified what drains their energy at work—and what lights them up. The goal? To prototype rituals that make work feel less like a chore and more like a choice.

Culture isn’t a ping-pong table or a mission statement. It’s the sum of tiny moments where people feel seen, heard, and alive. Start small, but start today.

Deb Haas

The magic happened in breakout activities, where teams designed everything from "virtual high-fives" to "GIF emotion check-ins." Laughter filled the Zoom grid as strangers became co-conspirators in reimagining remote work. By the end, one thing was clear: Culture isn’t built in boardrooms—it’s built in the small, human moments we create together.

One participant put it best: "I didn’t just leave with ideas—I left with permission to try them."The era of heroic leadership is gone. We don't need heroes. We need empowered teams.

Key highlights included

🎭 Play over perfection : 87% of attendees committed to trying a new ritual with their team.

🛠 Toolkit unlocked : Deb’s Pressure Map and Playground templates are now on Miroverse.

🎙 Podcast drop : The full session is now a 15-minute Talks About The (R)emotes episode on Spotify.

🌍 Global ripple : Attendees from 12 countries shared their experiments in a post-session Slack channel.

Missed the webinar? All replays are available in our community hub, where you can catch up on sessions, download templates, and connect with fellow remote professionals. Every session is designed to give you practical tools you can implement immediately—no matter when you watch.

🎧 NO TIME FOR THE REPLAY ?

No problem. Our AI hosts Maeva & Quinn condensed the session into a crisp 15-minute episode of Talks About The (R)emotes—now live on Spotify.

🦄 The Remote Culture Playground

In the rush of work, it’s easy to forget the things that used to light us up. The little joys, the playful sparks, the curious detours. Somewhere along the way, those energies got parked — not because they didn’t matter, but because there wasn’t time, space, or maybe even permission.
